Kindergarten Updates

Welcome to Kindergarten!

Excitement, inquisitiveness, and curiosity are just a few words we could use to describe our Kindergartners and their enjoyment of learning new things.  This quarter, during the Language Arts time, the children will continue to participate in our daily Read Aloud, phonemic awareness, lessons and guided reading groups.  In writing, the students will begin to learn about informative and opinion writing.  In Math, the children will be counting various sets to 20, rote counting to 30, counting by 10’s to 100, writing numerals to 20, comparing numbers using the terms greater than, less than, and equal to, and identifying shapes regardless of their orientation or size. The students will learn about personal body safety, The Market, and weather, in our content units.  We are looking forward to our continued partnership with you and your children.
